I remember waiting forever for a page to load! The first intro I had was when I was still married and my spouse could check all the settings at the shop on the computer at home! It was so amazing!!! I've been hooked for a long time. I remember when I first discovered email.. it was like, "Wow I can talk to people all over the world" it's funny now with Skype and chatting and all!!

Hello there Xanne Bull. Although i managed to get internet only in december 2004 at home, i had surfed the internet back in the 90ties in internet cafes alone or with my class mates back then. I also surfed the internet at a relative that has had it long before i did. I also should mentioned that i switched from dial-up to a much better one only 4 months later, in april 2005.

it's better to switch from dial up, because dial up is slower compared to the connections nowadays like broadband. by the way,how much is the rental cost per hour in the 90s? do you still remember? i can remember here that it is about 60 pesos per hour, today, it's only 10 pesos per hour... a big difference.

that was very tough, dial up is disgusting, glad to have broadband nowadays, which has a faster connection of internet. i remember the time i used to rent using the internet in the internet cafe, the rent cost was about times 3 as the rent today.

I don't remember the year I first started surfing the net but it was after I got my first computer. This was a used computer and I got addicted to it, too. That's easy to do. I have to be careful since I got this one, too. I have also surfed the net at the library. I still enjoy it. Kathy.

My first internet connection was with dial up, too. It was so slow, like you said,. Now, I have fast access dsl. This is so much better. My connection seems to be a little slower these days since I first got this computer. I must be infected with some viruses. I'm going to have to do something about it, though. Kathy.
