I've Been Soooo Busy These Past Few Days!!

And now I'm so far behind in answering discussions that I'll be here most of today and tomorrow trying to catch up so please bear with me even though I'm days behind! Tuesday we took both of the male strays to the spay and neuter clinic to be fixed. The drop off is at 8:00am and we had to pick them up the next morning. Now we're not early risers so it took a lot to get out of bed on both days. The place is about 30 miles away so it's a little bit of a drive. Neither one of the cats cried out the whole way there! Not a peep out of either one of them! We were pleasantly surprised! However, that job is done and now all 10 of our cats are fixed! YIPPEEEE!! So having 4 strays come and go as they please, all are males, won't be making any more kittens so the chances of us getting any more has been lowered. (sigh of relief!) Anyway, Tuesday we were running around town after dropping the cats off trying to find a new door for the cat/small dog door that hubby put in. Our grOWING German Shepherd puppy has broke the old one but we couldn't find it anywhere. Then we went to a book store to pick up a book that I've wanted for a while and found it. Then we went to a craft store to find a basket that I want to decorate to be a center piece for my coffee table because my ceramic mallard ducks figurine got broke yet again and for the last time so I had no center piece to dress up the table so I thought a pretty but small basket of flowers would make it look nice and I did find everything I needed. Then we went to the ATV place so that hubby could ask some questions and I stayed in the car to sleep for I was so exhausted. We finally went home and laid down for a few hours but it didn't do us a bit of good for when we woke up, we were still drained and is why I didn't do but maybe a discussion or two that day. Wednesday we pick up the cats and brought them home then we had to go the other direction to look at our new sectional that was being repaired and found that it's not like it once was and hubby talked to the manager of the store over the phone and told him that we want our money back on it and why. He said he had to talk to the higher up store manager before he could do anything so we're waiting for that phone call. Hubby was suppose to take his ATV to the place to be looked at but was too tired to do it so he's doing it today. We both laid down again yesterday and felt better when we got up. I got up first and fixed my basket and it looks right pretty! I'm no professional by any means but I think it turned out right nice. What do you think? Mind you, when you look at the picture, there's no furniture in our living room due to our sectional being returned to the store. We're thinking of getting our old set from the storage and putting it back in our living room till we find another sectional that we like and feel comfortable with so don't mind the "no furniture" in there behind the table! LOL
So check out my flower basket, do you think I did alright? How have you all been? Anything new going on?

This was in two days but still, we were so dogged tired that we couldn't get it all done but we gave it our best shot though! It has calmed down some but next week it'll all get busy again with our God kids coming to spend the summer with us. Supposedly only two out of the three want to come up this year which is fine with us, what ever makes them happy. I'm sorry to hear it's been rough for you Antiquelady! Do you mind my asking, what's going on? I'm a friend who's concerned, not being nosy but who knows, maybe I can help? Bless your heart!! I do hope it gets better for you too! You deserve peace and happiness and I hope you get that real soon!!

You know what? It doesn't matter if others are worse off, what does matter is how you're feeling because you have a right to your feelings as well. I'm so awfully sorry to hear about your hard time! Wow. I'd be feeling down too if I were in your shoes! It has to get better sweetie. Bad times can last only so long, right? Shhhhh! We won't voice that one.
I do want to wish you all the best because that is what you deserve!! Big Ole Hugs!!

It sounds like you have really had your plate full. I am glad you are getting lots of things done. The flower basket does look nice. Nothing new here. We are still dealing with the mess my son is in since surgery.

My son is acting better right now, but still on meds and still cannot stand due to them taking out his baclofen pump. I talked to my husband, but it only lasts about that day. We have a long year ahead of us, they are talking about taking him off the IV and going to oral antibiotics. When they do, there is a 50% chance of the infection coming back and here we go again. They are trying to keep the infection down for a least a year to at least give the back time to fuse so that if it comes back, they can take the hardware back out. It sounds like things are getting a little better for you.

Good grief gal! You are really being tested, aren't you? But then again, you'll come out smelling like a rose, I'm sure. Keep at it with your husband because it's only fair that he helps out. What about a family member such as a sister or a brother? Parents that might help?

Yeah, but like you said, we've been getting a lot done that have been needed for a while now. Hopefully we can keep up with the rest of it. How is your son doing? I hope he's better by now. Gosh, for a child to be down for so long, it has to be taking it's toll on him. Have you talked to hubby yet about helping a bit more so you can get a much needed break? I hope so because you're going to go off like some time bomb if you don't get that break. After all, you're only human, ya know?

Wow, I am exhausted just reading over your post. I will not tell you about every thing I did today, it was just too much. I am trying to get ready for a vacation and get everyone to cover my work at work. I think when I get back from helping my daughter move and meeting the new grand baby I will get some cleaning and decorating done. I know when I have to drive about thirty miles to do an errand, I try to make it to several stores at once.

Oh gosh GG, planning a vacation is work work work!! I know because of hubby being in the army, when we went "home" for a visit, it took time to get packed and everything in order before we could go. It was fun once we got there but getting there is the hard part. lol Good luck on your trip! Hope you have a wonderful time!

OK now I'm exhausted! Busy, busy, busy...Ten cats ha? Wow I thought I had my hands full with just two! Good on you for getting them fixed, I wish more owners were responsible like you! I really love your flower basket; it did turn out well didn't it? It is a gift to be able to do that, a gift I did not receive! (LOL)
At my end life is pretty routine, nothing new; my husband has been away for the past three days on business and is due back today.
It is a long weekend here in Western Australia so hubby has promised to put down the floor boards I have been waiting on, so that's exciting for me not so much for him!

LOL yup, 10 cats and 4 dogs. All are fixed but one which is too young still. The cats come and go as they please and so do the dogs but they can't go out of the fenced in yard so that's good. They all know where their food and water is all we do is refresh the water twice a day if not more. And they all know when "dinner time" is for they come and remind me of it. lol
Thanks for your kind words on my flower basket! I tried! lol Both of my grandmothers were crafty so it's where I got it from. I love making things! Good luck with the hubby and those floor boards!!
