Festival very much impressed. For you?

Hi, i have never been to India but i have seen it on movies and on tv, the Festival of Colors. Where people throws this powder of different colors on everyone, i think it is a celebration of the changing of seasons. But here in my country we have a festival almost the same as what you have written about. It is on June 24 feast day of St. John the Baptist and people in towns and cities who have him as their Patron Saint, celebrate it by pouring water on each other.It is a very joyful celebration, then they have a fluvial parade for the culmination of the feast.

I had been to Thailand a few years ago but I missed the festival you are referring to. That seems like something similar to a Philippine festival - it's in San Juan on the month of June, I think.

I don't really know what the best festival I have attended, which I consider the best. I guess it's the New Year's day we celebrate with firecrackers and good food every year:) Oh and I also like it when my Chinese friends celebrate Chinese new year and they bring Tikoy treats for us:D

To me the most impressive festival is the rio carnivale. it happens once a year at Rio. People party all night long and the entire town witness it. Thousands of people participate in it and the floats in the festival are amazing to watch

Thailand, thanks for your experience with Chiangmai, here "Dussera", i think you might know about Dussera, a festival comming before Divali, in that festival, we use to pouring Colour water on everybody, having a lot of fun, i have also participated long back, most enjoyable cultural of pouring colour water on everybody.

It sounds like you really had a lot of fun at this festival! My parents, sister, and I went to New Orleans in 1978 around the latter part of October. They had a regular Halloween party on Bourbon Street, which my sister and I went to. Daddy was on the Real Estate Commission in Alabama at the time and we were there for a convention. My parents didn't go to the party but some people with the convention went with us. We didn't dress up like anything but you wouldn't believe what all those people dressed up like down there! It was fun, though. Kathy.

Hello my place has tons of festival around the year. As Hindu we have to observe many festivals every month. Right now we are obseving one in which god Shiva weds goddess Parvati. We also obseve Diwali, Dashhara . Another is Holi the festival of colors.

I wish i can go to thailand too because i've heard it's a very nice place, the beach and so many beautiful views. Unfortunately, i never have a funniest experience with festival coz i don't attend festival a lot especially when it's hot. But i did have an experience where everyone's walking on the street dancing, and everybody wears weird clothes and had tatoos painted on their bodies. We call it in the Philippines as Sinulog festival. I think a lot of people from all over the world known about his party because it is a religious festival devoted for the sto. Ñino of Cebu for being miraculous.Many foreign people along with Filipinos walk together and enjoying the street dancing where the dancers are carrying image of the saint and show it to all the people. The dress worn were also very very impressive because it is a competition party with groups of people coming from different islands. Even if it's very hot but because of so much fun to see, you can ignore the temperature of the sun.It is rain or shine with a lot of fun.
