 Anyone watch John & Kate Plus 8??? I love the show and recently watched the show where John and Kate discussed their problems. I'm kind of beginning to wonder if this is all a publicity stunt? Seems like John and Kate were doing so well until just recently. I just don't get it. Sure, Kate does bite John's head off on a regular basis, but I never thought he would cheat!
Also, it seems like now that the kids are getting older, the show is not going to be as interesting. It was neat to watch them take care of all those young children and babies. Now the kids can almost take care of themselves! Do you think the show will be done after this season?

I have been down that road, I saw the look in Jon's face, he has checked out there is nothing but saddness in his eyes. and no matter how hard you try you can not get a five year old to beg daddy not to go away..

| 2. maezee (4173) | 7 months ago |  I heared on Inside Edition that the two made $25k-$50k per EPISODE. I'm guessing the fame & money has seriously gone to their heads - as I'm sure it would with anyone.
I've never actually seen the show - but I've been hearing SO much about it lately. I wouldn't be surprised if they're cracking under the pressure - I know if I were in their positions, I probably would!

| 3. cbantly (138) | 6 months ago |  The money that they make per episode pales in comparison to all the promotional deals and revenues that they have built. The problem that I see is Kate enjoys the publicity to the point of being famous, and she has discovered a career in which the focus (while she's traveling) is all on her.
What housewife wouldn't like a little recognition for doing one of the hardest jobs on the planet?
However, I think it has all gotten out of hand and I agree that it simply can't all be for show. As a husband going through a divorce myself, it's evident that Jon is miserable. I think that he really loves his kids, but staying home with them daily has got to be straining him too. I know that he is sick of the constant attention, and he's looking for a release.
If Kate were my wife, it wouldn't take much of her verbal abuse to make me question my decision!

4.  uicbear (1537) | 6 months ago |  I don't think it's a stunt. At the end of last season things seemed a bit off. Also in the first episode of this season, one of the little girls hugged Jon and said she missed him. (From what I understand he is not living in the house right now.)
But, what i do feel is that with the strain and stress of the situation, if it was my family, there is no way I would continue with the show. It just seems ridiculous for them to be adding even more pressure onto an already toxic situation. If people thought that being filmed at all hours of the day was stressful for the kids, throw in a separation and possible divorce.
I felt awkward watching the first episode this season, and I don't think I will be watching anymore.
