UPS RANT! Has This Ever Happened To You?

This happened to us a couple of weeks ago, and it has since been resolved, but I just found this interest category, so I thought I'd put this one out there for the community.
A few weeks ago, my laptop was to be UPS'd back from HP, after being repaired. My husband is the Official head geek, when it comes to stuff like this, because he knows what he's doing, having worked with computers, his entire life. Even though it was my computer, he conducted all business in his name. Hey, no problem.
A little history, though. I've lived in this apartment since 2002, and hubby and I got married in 2007. I spent most of 2007-2008 in Arizona, where he was working, and then came back here in May of 2008. In November of 2008, he moved up here to join me, after retiring. When we got married I kept my last name. Because of limited space on the door directory, and the fact that I'd been paying for this apartment since I moved in here, and the fact that my name did not change, we simply left my laat name on the door directory.
It looks as follows *button* 105 MY LAST NAME
Well, in order to send off the laptop, we first needed to receive free shipping supplies from HP, also sent via UPS. They were to arrive on a certain day, and did not. My husband is a very patient man, and his patience often gets him into trouble when things don't get done, because he'll give everyone the benefit of the doubt. This drives me as crazy as my IMPATIENCE drives him. We're both getting better.
It didn't arrive that day, nor did it arrive the next, and by the third day, we were getting pi$$ed. He called UPS to see what was going on.
"Well sir, your name wasn't on the directory, so we sent it back!"
WTF? Excuse me? Hubby also worked in shipping, and knows that this goes against UPS policy. It was delivered to the right address, and there was a door buzzer # 105 button. The idiot should have pressed the button, and asked for him, at which point he would have said "yeah, that's me" and the stupid thing would have been delivered ON TIME!
We talked to a manger, and that idiot has probably been fired by now for assuming that ALL MARRIED COUPLES in North America have the same last name. LOL
Has anyhting like this ever happened to anyone else, with a currier service? How did you handle it?
When we got our stuff, and shipped the laptop out, and got it back, everything went well, because they knew better than to screw it up AGAIN.

once it was delivered to the wrong address, I called them up because I had following the tracking number and when they got the right address they just sent it to me the next day. It wasn't a big deal for me, I just waited one day and that was it.
