What are the advantages of being a single?

I am not that credible enough to answer this because my last relationship is just about 3 years ago. Nonetheless, I would like to share my views as a 'young' single person.

Through my experience, being single means you are much freer than if you are in a commitment. You could do a lot of things without consulting to someone else. Being single gives you a time to reflect on your self and on how you could make your self a better person. If the time comes that the special someone that is meant for you will come, though it may not be soon and in fact it may arrive very late in your life, you are ready for it. There would hopefully be no doubts and you would be able to handle yourself well. I believe that knowing your self better helps a lot in your dealings with other people.

So far, my experience as being single is great and I feel that it has made me more mature. These are the advantages of being single that I can share.
