As far as I can think is, wood craft with their names. And your signature at the end. So they will never forget who gave them that gift. Well of course the crafting is nice too see and worth to display. Just a suggestion. Hope it helps.

Hi there Flagella! Well, I don't know about unique but I would suggest having their picture sketched or painted by a professional. Since you are close to both of them, maybe you have a photo of them together? I think that would make a very good gift.

When I have money to spend, one of my most favourite wedding gifts to a couple who are both my friends, is a 'couple' watch...a set of beautiful golden watches for his and her...both the watches are coordinated with matching designs and if you can spend a little extra, the names of the couple are etched on them.

One of my favourite things to give newleyweds is a brass pen set with their names engraved on it. Be careful though, when giving engraved gifts. Make sure to ask if the bride or groom will be changing their last names, hypehanting, creating a new name, keeping their names, whatever, so as not to engrave the wrong names on the pens.

If it is a catholic wedding, give them a figurine of the Holy Family. I really appreciate the person who gave it to us on our wedding day. If they aren't Catholics, you can give them a set of bed sheet so that every time they are using it, they will remember you. I also like the following wedding gifts we received: 1. Iron 2. bible (we use also this on the ceremony, a close friend give this to us with her personal message on the back page) 3. microwave 4. mini refrigerator 5. oven toaster 6. electric fan 7. spoon & fork 8. rice cooker Hope this helps.

I think it would be nice to give them a honeymoon getaway as gifts. A ticket for a cruise or plane ticket for any destination they want or gift certificates for a spa would also be nice, I bet after all the wedding preparations the couple really needed a vacation, a massage or a facial. I think its quite expensive but it is unique. You may also give them a collage of all their photos together or a photo of how their future kid would look like together. I think there are some photoshops who could mix certain features of the face of each person so they could have an idea of how their kid might look like. The usual gifts given to a newly wed couple are starter set, breakfast maker, refrigerator, electric fan, electric stove and iron.

wow that would be nice but my bucks can't allow me to. i guess i would prefer your latter suggestion since i can make some personal touches with it. it would be nice to display in the living room too.

well i am one of a kind artistic individual, if i may so. i love giving unique gifts too. but with that time constraint, i guess its hard to make one. i love drawing them together in a different view, with nice pastel colors and oil. its also nice to make a cross-stitch of their faces, both of them together. a nice remembrance and worth every penny and time too. well, thats whats in stored from me. thanks friend jhelai
