I don't like this gift in my birthday party!  

Oh well, if he doesn't like the birthday gift that you have given to him, he will just have to live with that I guess! You have done your part as a friend and bought him a gift on his birthday; and it is up to him to choose to appreciate the gift or to sulk over it. And on the other hand, you should not be disappointed because you have already done the right thing as a good friend. Things could have been much worse if you hadn't even got a gift for that guy, right? So take comfort in knowing that you have at least done something right. Maybe the next time you could get him a gift card so that he can buy what he wants using the gift card rather than yuo having to think of what to buy for him and risk getting something that he doesn't like.

PS: But a friend like that who doesn't appreciate a gift given by you just makes me wonder whether is it really worth to have a friend like him......

giving gifts to someone can be a pain staking tasks, there are so much for you to consider like, her weight, height, likes and dislikes, favorite color, preffered material used etc...etc...etc... then all of a sudden they will just say, my god what is that, i don't like it! what a shame.
that is why i don't give gifts haha...i'll just treat her on the place where she wants, i don't give gifts to my guy friends nor treat a guy out hahaha...
but if i had known the person long enough, and know all her likes then i would go for gifts especially on very memorable occasions like debut and wedding.

WHHATT?? How insensitive can he get? If I were in your place, I would probably slap his face. No, I was just kiddiing.. hehe.. Seriously, just try to talk to him and tell him how you feel. I understand how frustrated and disappointed you were when you see his face and when he told you that he didn't like your gift. Ask him what's wrong with your gift, and if he won't tell you the reason, then just get it back. He's not worth it..

Oh...I am sorry about that but that was very rude of him to say that to you. Even though if he don't like your gift he should have remained quiet about it and keep it as a gift. We are not supposed to tell someone that we don't like their gift! That's very rude and unfair.
