1980 Ford Thunderbird - keypad entry.

There is a way of resetting it yourself but no longer have the owner's manual. Car can be unlocked with key but want to be able to use the keypad too. Thanks for your response though.

HI there. The original code for this keypad can be found in one of two places: on the inside of one of the trunk arms or taped to the 'brains' of the keyless entry system which is a black box secured under the rear decklid by the rear speakers. Once you have this code, you can program in your own code which can be reset whenever you like. Other than that, it may be possible for the Ford dealership to track the VIN and release the code to you. Good luck!
