Whitening of hair is very common in our locality, it seems to color hair has become a trend today. Water is too much chlorinated and I feel that chlorine being a bleach might be responsible for hair whitening of many people at a time!

It is possible that chlorine will lighten your hair. Most commonly chlorine in tap water is associated with making your skin and hair dry and damaged. One tip I have heard off to protect your hair from absorbing too much chlorine when you go swimming is to lightly coat your hair with conditioner or oil before exposing it to the chlorinated water. You are also suppose to wash your hair with unchlorinated water before and after swimming.
