Family bonding, do you do this in your own family?

unfortunately our family is really not that close. I hardly get to see my family and my son and I live together but most of the time we don't get along. I can never say anything to make him happy.

There's a bit of tension and conflict in our family but I can say that we're better than most...but worse than a LOT more!

My two sisters don't even get along now. It's not as if my life's a drama but it's not a great show, really.

Family bonding is really important to strengthen relationship and have open discussions with your wife and kids. As for my part, although I'm very busy with my office tasks 5 days a week but I alloted at least a day in a week for my family. Every Saturday, I bringing my family to malls, although we're not shopping for something but we're happy to walk together and when we were tired of walking, I bring them to a restaurant or a fastfood chain.

when i was still younger i remember my parents bringing us in a movie house, we eat together in a restaurant once in a while and things like that but that's just during paydays...of course during that day we have money to spend for such things...but even if we don't have money we can still have family bondings...like we always eat together atleast once a day...watch tv together, play scrabble...joke with each other..laugh together! well its very nice remembering those days and i just realized it now that even if our family have gone through many trials and struggles in this life we still have a good family and lots of happy memories together...oh i miss them!
now, since i am away from them and lives with my husband...i see to it that every time i go home for a vacation...i spend all days of the week with them...i just want to be with them every time i'm on a vacation...we still do those things that we've done before and yes we sleep together! even if we have difficulties sleeping together because of small space...we still do!and we still wakes up with smile on our face!
but the best thing that we do that i think really bonds us and keeps our family holding on after all we've gone through...is that we go to church together, we participate in our church's activities intended for families and so on...
i think my parents especially my mom, never gets busy for us...

Hi mobhomeir! I do try to keep my family bonded. We go places together on weekends and sit down to dinner every night together. I work fulltime so week days are tough but I still try to do things that bring us together. We don't go to ant place all the time. I think it's fun for us to try new things together. Last weekend we went tubing. I want to go rafting next weekend. This weekend is going to be swimming or fishing. Shopping with my girls is fun to.
