I LOVE BROADWAY! do you?

brit_200 I also loved Rent and saw it quite a few times both off and on Broadway. A new musical called "Next To Normal" is coming t0 Broadway soon . it is a contemporary musical that explores how one surburban household copes with crisis. It shows how far 2 parents will go to keep themselves sane and their families world intact. Sounds like a good one for me and I cant wait to see it! But in the last couple of years I became a lover of Spring Awakening. Great soundtrack. And the play is based on a book that was banned back in Germany 1891, the book so daring in its depiction of teenager self discovery. Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater collaborated on the music and what they created was a HIT ! Les Miz was incredible though a little dark but who cared .. the music was divine. Mamma Mia . .what can one say other than you smile throughout the show. .and then get the added attraction of almost being at an Abba concert! And the last one I am going to boast about is Jersey Boys .. . Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons. . . need I say anymore!

I love broadway musicals! Rent is my favorite too! My second favorite is Grease. I was able to see a show locally last winter. It was so much fun! Taylor Hicks from American Idol was supposed to play the beauty shop guy, can't remember his name, haha. I pretty much like any musicals in general. I also like Chicago. Fame is pretty good too. I heard Wicked is pretty good. Have you seen it or listened to the soundtrack?
