Well, I really don't know how to say this so, here it goes. I was in a car accident a few days ago. Yes, I am alive. ha ha I know it is not funny, but I do get some dumb questions from people. Sorry, anyways the thing I want to know is, "Are we ever going to get a law that say's,"People should have to take the written and visual and driver test every five or maybe ten years to make sure they can still drive?" I know it is a hassle but, think of all the lives we could save. I mean think for a minute! When did your grandma or say grandpa get their licenses? What was the year? What was driving like back then? Same everything nothing has changed? Does she or he wear the same glasses? Do you know how many people get their licenses and then say have a stroke or heart attack or any other kind of health problem and still drive? Or, how many people have drug problems and still drive? Bad eyesight? Hearing loss? I know one lady that got her licenses back in the 50's and still drives. Do you think she even remembers what the rules of driving are? So, I say, "Make a law where we have to re-take the test - written, visual and with the driving instructor in the car and see how many people can still pass the test! And, if they don't pass then they can't drive and if they do pass then it helps on the price of their insurance. Do you think that it is a good idea or do you think it is a waste of time and money even though it could help save lives? Let me know what you think! Please! **Peace and Love get's you through everything in Life**

I see two problems with this: One, it's going to create more ppl driving with no licence and no insurance... and Two, it's going to be punishing those that don't need to retake a test. Why not try something like, if you cause an accident you lose your licence for a year. If you cause a second accident you lose it for 2 years and if you cause a third you lose it permanetly. If you caught driving without it, you go to jail for a year the first time and so on. That way only the ones to blame are punished. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

It probably would be a good idea for sure. I would hate to think i had to take another test. I THINK I'M A GOOD DRIVER & HAVE NEVER HAD A WRECK BUT I HAVE BEEN DRIVING A VERY LONG TIME. I think there is a time for people to quit driving. my friend's sister got run over by a 94 year old a few weeks back. I don't think u should drive when u are that old.

It's a good idea but most car crashes are because of reckless drivers and drunks.
