Dont you think Insomnia changes the basic nature of a person?  | | Passing sleepless nights, whether you are working in a hospital or call center, makes you sleep deprived to a certain level that changes your basic outlook and makes you much more rigid, rude, stressfull and disliking everything around you, this is because you are not your usual self! What do you say?

| | | | | | | | 1. barrudaki (1262) | 7 months ago | Yes! I agree! I have suffered from insomnia since I was in high school. Anytime I reach 40 hours of no sleep I get angered easily. Most of it is because I am tired but I can't sleep because after not sleeping for that long little sounds will keep me awake. Also after finally falling asleep I find myself being startled awake or having nightmares which wake me up almost every hour so even still I don't get a good nights sleep and I am still crabby the next day. Then once I finally do get to sleep I will sleep for 12 or more hours and then I get mad again because I have wasted a day sleeping. Luckily my insomnia cycles are lessening as I get older plus I have a night job now so that is helping some too.

| | 3. pillusch (822) | 7 months ago | I think it’s totally unnatural two work nightshifts, and I have nothing but respect for nurses, firemen and the like who provide that kind of valuable service to the community, knowing that it takes its toll on their health. Because there is no doubt, it affects not only your mood and outlook on life, it is actually harmful to you body. So a big ‘thank you’ to all those guardian angels like police etc. who sacrifice a good night’s sleep for doing their job.
