Is Ancelloti the right manager for Chelsea?

i dont know if he can win the champions league but if they manage to keep this manager for at least a few years then they have some stability and a way to win it. As it will be good for the team but the team are getting old now and some need replacing like Ballack and Deco who have been waste of money.

i think chelsea could have made a mistake in awarding him such a long contract straight away. i think a managers contract should be based on a season long trial, if he does his job well and the team performs well then he should be offered a good deal.

i think Ancelloti is a big risk. he has a reputation of being a "yes man", he allows the club owner to dictate to him, buy players for him and he is happy to do this. i don't think this will work at Chelsea. Abramovich has tried this before with Mourinho, he bought Shevchenko and that ultimately resulted in Mourinho walking away from a job that he was doing wery well.

if Ancelloti is to do well and gain the support of the fans he needs to do the job his way, pick his own team, buy his own players and get the best out of those players. he also needs to learn to speak fluent English as this was part of Scholari's downfall, his lack of English confused the players and as a result they were not performing for him.

i hope Ancelloti is a success at Chelsea but only time will tell. his history as a club mamager is good and he seems to have respect the of a lot of big name players but the premiership is very demanding, if he doesn't gain instant respect of the Chelsea team and the support of the fans he will soon be picking up his fat salary and moving elsewhere.

my response to that is simply enough - no. I see Barcelona being better next year than they already were this, and will take a lot of stopping from repeating their Champions League win (and yes, I know that teams do not normally repeat CL wins).

Maybe not this year, dont know also. Its rather hard this year because so many teams that have plenty high quallity players. Although Ancelloti have plenty experience on delivering AC Milan won twice times champions, it because of these players at Milan. Chelsea and Milan have different players, Milan have more experience players and also high mental at "Champions Atmoshpere" ( That lost with Liverpool 2005 ago really bost Milan experience ), but chelsea still need more experience to win that Champions.
