When you go shopping do you go for the best buys at the groc.?

That's how I try to shop too. Of course there are things that I have to buy daily, as in bread, milk, eggs, but as far as my meats, vegetable, things like that, if there is a buy, I'm right on it. I keep my freezer pretty well full. I have had it so full I had to take my latest buys to my parent in laws place.

CD- I shop at a local butcher and buy their pre-packed meat specials. I get lots for the freezer. This last batch is still going and I bought it several months ago. I'm just now running low. (Hopefully I'll make it until next month's grocery allotment lol). I do the same though. I buy a lot of generic and I buy the same staples. The only thing I've had a tough time stocking recently is yeast. It's more expensive then ever, so home made bread is now a luxery. That and eggs. Eggs are incredibly expensive right now for us (a family of four) that I have to ration then. In terms of clothing, it depends. I tend to buy things that I know will be quality and last me. I did become a Diva member of Torrid so I get lots of deals sent to me, plus my discount when I shope. It works out well. Namaste-Anora

I feel like the clearance queen at the store. My store that regularly discounts stuff often sees me buying only things that are marked down.

Yes, I generally wait for things to go on sale before buying them, or at least buy the cheapest brand available. I can't afford to do otherwise.

I'm not a shopper because I hate to shop with a passion but I do look for the best deals on anything and everything because I love to save every bit that I can. I use coupons and fliers to catch all the sales and even find some more sales when I go to different stores.

I really do not like shopping for clothes. I can't seem to find what I want etc. However, I have a shopaholic daughter who has sniffed out the best buys and she usually buys most of my clothes. she knows my sizes in everything and what suits me and the colours I like so I leave it up to her when possible. she's always spot on and the combination she chooses I would never have thought of at all. I do look for the best buys in food and have just changed where I usually shop to a supermarket that sells things so much cheaper. My supermarket bill was about $40 less this week and that pleased me. US$40 I mean - the equivalent of. However, I have to say that I don't really like ashopping at all. Isn't that wierd? My husband liked to shop and I would be losing patience as he was standing there working out the value between two brands of toilet tissue etc.
