Which older TV programs have you recently discovered/ finally watched & enjoyed?

Well, I didn't recently discover it as I knew about the show when it came out but didn't get to see it, so I recently purchased Life on Mars (UK) series 1 and then Series 2 and it was an amazing show. I've still got to watch its follow up Ashes to Ashes (which I hear isn't as good but it still good) but I cannot wait to watch the Life on Mars episodes again. Brilliant acting and a very original program (a 70s cop show with a Sci-Fi twist). Really recommend you check it out if you haven't seen the series.

The Sopranos. I did not get into it, when it was actually on air, and I certianly didn't understand all the hype. Until, my friend and I made an agreement that we would each pick shows to watch on DVD and watch them together. I picked The OC and he picked Sopranos. After the first episode I didn't think I was going to like it, but I absolutely love it now! We have made it through season5 and just need the money to get season 6. I can't wait. I want to see it soooo bad!

My friends dad has the full box set of that series. What exactly is it about? I mean, I've heard a lot of hype about it too but I've never actually heard an explanation as to what exactly it's about. :)

I would say it's about the lighter side of the mob. You see the typial mob "offs" but the show focuses more on the family aspect of the mob. You see a whole different side of the boss. The character development is amazing. Every character is fully developed and is very intereting. It does an amazing job of capturing the audiences attention. It will make you laugh, contemplate, and cry.

the one I really like lately is "Two and a Half Men" . .while it is not really all that old of a show. . it has been on for 5 or 6 seasons and this past month is the first time I ever really watched it..
I now cant get enough of it and I am so happy that I have 5-6 seasons to catch up on before they come back in the fall!
