Last summer I was lucky enough to see Billy Joel play the last concert ever to be played at Shea Stadium. For those of you who dont know, Shea Stadium used to be the home of the NY Mets baseball team .. and 43 years ago the Beatles played the first outdoor live concert there. Billy shared the stage with some top notch guest stars on this final night. Tony Bennett, Steven Tyler of Arrowsmith, Garth Brooks, The Whos one and only Roger Daltrey and as the capstone, Sir Paul McCartney . . how much better can it get! Too see Sir Paul up there singing "I Saw Her Standing There" and then sing "Let It Be" with Billy, well there are not many words one can say to describe it. All I can say is on that very hot summer night in 2008 I was one of the lucky ones to have witnessed music history. The end was as it had begun. One of the men who started it all, ended it as it deserved to end. The finale was perfect. And I was there!

I like some of Billy Joels' song. I wish to see him in concert too. Maybe someday I will have the chance to see him. You are lucky to be there.

yes I was reckon21. I have seen him many many times in the past . .. I was even lucky enough that when I was in college I saw him trying out his new stuff for his amazing songs from "The Stranger" .... he had played in such a small arena that night that we were practically sitting on his piano . .I remember so vividly going back to my room that night still humming . ."I Love You Just The Way You Are" . . The album wasnt released for many months after that and the wait was so worth it. Funny how today you hear a song you like and in a matter of seconds not only can you hear it but you can youtube it and see it! I must say as much as I like being able yo have what I want in an instant. . there was something special and exciting about having to wait..... I hope too that someday you can see him live in concert.. .he is srely one of the greatest!
