What in the world is going on? What could make a person do this???  

I have no idea what people could be thinking or not thinking. How could you harm a child in this way. I mean really, what is on their mind, why would they do this, what is going on that makes them think that this is anywhere near OKAY.

If you do not want your children take them to the police station, call social services get some freaking help.

We have actually had it happen here. A mother had post partum depression really bad, and her husband knew. (not an excuse) The husband left the mom alone with the kids and she killed all of them. In this case, I think the husband is just as responsible as the mother. People who would kill children are not in their right mind. I agree that children can be totally obnoxious. Mine push my ever last nerve sometimes, but I cannot understand the mentality of killing them. Most of the cases I have heard about are a result of post patum, or a woman trying to impress her new man. I had postpartum depression but never thought about killing the kids because of it. One positive way to look it, is that maybe God's watching out for them and bringing them home to him, rather then leaving them in the care of an unfit parent. I am with you though, it's not something I could ever phathom doing. How someone can look at a little innocent face and take the life out of it, is beyond me.

I can only think that the person went momentarily crazy or suffered from post partem disorder.I cant see why you cant think to give this child to someone who is willing to make a life for this child.Thats when we really see that there is a god.

I don't 'get it', either. I'm a single mom of a great 16 year old boy. When I read in the paper or hear on the news that children are killed, it makes me sick!! The most recent one: that little girl,Kaylee ( I think that was her name). How could her mother do this?! What did that little girl do to 'deserve' such a thing? Just discusting!!

People do this to spite their spouses in some cases! Some people have mental problems like Andrea Yates was when she drowned her 5 kids! Some people just don't think! Some people just don't care! I think our world has no patience,no direction,no respect,and just don't care! I believe alot has to do with some kids who are raised by one parent,usually just the mom and the father is no where around! It just isn't that it is society! We have an uncaring society that gives you the feeling you can do anything you want and not care about it! When society changes the world will!

Most likely those people had problems to begin with and their annoying little kids just made it worse. So they just killed the problem with out thinking about what they had just done.

why people will be angry with kids?
i don't really understand it,but i do not quarrel with or fight with kids after i am no longer a child.last week a child in my living block happened to run into me real hard and made me have a great pain.ten minutes later his parents came and apologize to me.i didn't say any harsh words to the boy but to let her mother get this child away and i and his father delt with this matter.
what surprise me is that, around us,many adluts fight and wrong treat children,and some of them even are proud of donging this and saying this!

There has been many news telling how a mother killed her kids or a father or even killing all the family members. It's scary just to think that that might happen to someone near us. I personally coud never do any harm to anyone and especialy to my kids yes I do get upset when they do something wrong but to kill them NO there is no way.
I think that people that do that is because there is something really wrong is their head. They might think is the right thing but they are just not right in the head. Whe do not have any right to take other peoples life. And the economy and depresion are no excusses we should be strong for our kids and help them grow so the coud have a better life.

well, it is hard to explain, some people, when they face troubles that they could not handle, they decide to take their lives and tehir childrens. Maybe it is because they worry thier children don't have any support.

Probably they themselves were physically abused when they were children so they think it's ok to do that to their kids too. Usually some of these murder cases are unintentional in which the parent beats the child without the intention of killing them but then takes it a bit too far and ends up beating them to death. It really is a widespread problem nowdays not only in America but in all countries as well.
