This man just keeps putting out the hits like hot cakes! I heard yesterday on radio that he is celebrating 20 years in the country music business this year. I've seen him in concert twice and he is very good. He's going to be putting on a concert for free somewhere but I've forgotten where it was. I never did hear the details but I wouldn't be able to go. It's quite a ways from where I live. He's from Neunan, Georgia, which is right on the Alabama-Georgia stateline.
I started a discussion not too long ago titled "Has anybody ever told you you look like somebody famous or somebody you admire?" Well, I met a guy at a singles' group one time who reminded me so much of Alan Jackson and I told him, too.
Yes, he really did look like him! Alan is 6'4" and this guy was 6'3" tall. He also had the mustache, only he was darker headed than Alan is. His hair wasn't quite as long as Alan's is, either. The funny thing about it was, the guy I met was also a musician.
He sings and plays the guitar, only he does it as a hobby and he's more into bluegrass. His name was "John", btw. Also, John works on cars for a living. Alan does this as a hobby. Isn't this strange? I've heard John sing, too, and he's good.
The last I heard, John is married now and he wouldn't qualify as a single any more.
What is your favorite Alan Jackson song? He had so many good ones, it's hard for me to pinpoint a favorite. There are always so many that come to mind whenever I think of him. I guess my favorite would have to be "Chattahoochie". Kathy.

This is a really good discussion because music is really important in everyday life because it can help change your moods,if you are sad, then music can help make you happy again, and some songs can even make you want to get up and sing and dance around the room like no one is watching, and when you are angry, some songs can help your anger flow away, and some songs can even make you sad when you listen to them even though not many people want to be sad,and I am sure that different people like different genres of music, and I am sure there are a lot of people who like country music and listen to it a lot,and I am sure out of those a lot like and listen to Alan Jackson, and then I am sure there are probably people who do not listen to Alan Jackson, and I can understand that everyone has different preferences, and not many people think alike, and I personally think that Alan Jackson is a great singer, and he is one of my moms favorite country singers and one of my second favorites, and me and my fiance have at least six of his c.d.s and the only artist we have more c.d.s of is Garth Brooks who is my favorite artist, and it would be hard to pick one of his songs as my favorite, but if I had to pick one it would probably also be Chattahoochie because it is a really good song, have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

You are more than welcome for the response, and I am always happy to respond to peoples discussions so I can share my opinions, and hear other peoples opinions, because it is a good way to meet new people, and learn new things which can help you solve problems in ways you would have never thought of before, and I am glad that you agree with me about music, and Billy Ray Cyrus is a really good singer to,and so is his daughter Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana, and yeah you are pretty involved in music and that is good,I do consider myself a cowboy because I have the boots and hat,I do not have a horse, but I have ridden one before, and me and my fiance live across from a horse farm, have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

Thank you for your response. I agree with everything you said about music. Alan Jackson is also a second favorite of mine. My favorite is Billy Ray Cyrus. I like country music but I grew up listening to rock'n'roll. I still like to listen to the oldies occasionally. I majored in music when I was in college. I didn't finish college, though. I sing, play the guitar, piano, and the harmonica. As you can see, I'm pretty well involved in music.
I like your avatar, btw. Are you a cowboy? I also ride horseback a lot. I have a horse but he's not broken to be ridden yet. I also volunteer at a therapeutic riding center. Kathy.

Personally I Love Alan Jackson, and own quite a few of his CDS even. I Love his Videos even, and could listen to him sing and never tire of him. One of my husband and my favorites is "DRIVE". I also Love "Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning." But if you enjoy Christian Music like my husband and I do he has an excellent Christian CD out as well.
