Living a new life means to start all over again, redeemed and received the joy of salvation through Jesus Christ alone and having a more intimate relationship with God. As for me, I'm living a new life...I know it's a process, because it does not come overnight but it's automatic. The moment I got saved, I turned away from the past...(180 degrees turn), yes there are struggles at first but I am learning to obey my new master not myself anymore because Christ already lives in me and I am renewed day by day, Standing strong and firm to the promises the Lord has in store for me and telling me to persevere in every testing of the faith.
Are you at a point of wanting to have a new life? or if you already are living a new life, what are the things you discovered that are new to you?

Preatty much. I had new lives like 3 times. It's the decision to begin again that makes a life new. Not only moving from home or even changing countries, but the decision to be more like this or that this time. Moving only takes my problems with me whenever I go.
I think the other thing that makes a new life is forgiving. When I realized that I was actually having anger towards someone in the past, I started a forgiving proccess. It takes a looong time but it's worthed. Enemies also go wherever we go if we don't forgive them, they become like ghosts.
