is it okay to use shampoo everyday??

I use shampoo every other day. The doctor says that using shampoo everyday will lose your hair. I don't want to get bald so I believe and follow what the doctor says. Anyways I just stayed at home so my hair won't get more dirt. But when I go out or travel, I shampoo my hair often.

You should consult a dermatologist (specializes in hair) and relay him/her your problems. Maybe you need to change shampoo and use a gentle one because ordinary shampoo might cause your hair coz it's sensitive..

I wash my hair everyday. I have the same problem like yours. I'm 30 and start losing my hair from years ago I didn't remember, long before I got married.
It doesn't matter if I wash my hair daily or not, my hair are still falling.
If I don't wash it, it becomes oily and it falls even more.
I don't use any conditioner or gel. I don't think I need it because I have baby's hair, very thin and soft.
I wish I could have thicker hair.

I think maybe you should relax with the shampooing your hair everyday. It can cause you hair to fall out because it can strip your hair of it natural oils. Try every 3-4 days. Plus, hair can look it's best 1-2 days after shampooing.

Unfortunately,I use shampoo everyday,what is more twice or three times a day due to my greasy hair.If I don not use shampoo to wash my hair,I will feel itching and uncomfortable.So I can not wash my hair without shampoo.

i perfer to use shampoo twics in week... rest daya you can use ordinary soap to clean up dialy dirt caused by travelling.. then most important thing while using a shampoo is too use a conditioner ... other wise your scape will get dry and lead to hair fall and breakage of hair...some of the product i prefer

Well I don think its advisable to use shampoo on a daily basis, some people say u can use light shampoos which are less on chemicals but at the end of the day its not advisable to use em everyday. Its better to use natural ingredients like if u are in india Shika, Amla, Hibiscus leaf and many other things which u can grind and have it for ur hair. If u r havin a hair fall better consult ur doc if its sevre. There may be many other factors for ur hair fall, the water u use is also one major factor which can bring about hair fall. But strictly no to Shampoos which contain harmful chemicals on a daily basis

you will not lose your hair if you use strong shampoo every day, you will simply deprive your hair of it's natural oils which are necessary for strong, healthy hair.

if you wash your hair every day with shampoo you should use a mild one at least five times per week. baby shampoo is ideal for every day use. just don't use a strong shampoo every day otherwise your hair will become brittle and unmanageable.

hi there jlovetin, it is good to shampoo our hair to make it clean. however there are also some hairstylist that says that shampooing everyday can make your hair dry, i think maybe because of the ingredients. sometimes i just use shampoo every other day to make my hair soft, but of course i use conditioner everyday. in your case, maybe you need to use another brand of shampoo. use a shampoo that is a hairfall solution.
