Sponsored bike ride

I am doing a sponsored bike ride next month here in the UK which is going from Manchester to Blackpool which works out to approximately 60 miles!! I have never done anything like this before but, my friend did it last year and so I said I would this year - I can't believe how soon it actually is and am trying to arrange to go cycling now at leats 3 times a week. I went for a ride on Monday so now am hoping to do a little more distance on my next go and hoping that will be tomorrow! Have you ever done anything like this for charity?

Wow, 60 miles is a long bike ride. I did one of those bike-a-thons when I was in grade school, or maybe junior high. I was never very good at collecting money for those things. But I always liked to ride my bike when I was growing up. My sister rode in one when she was in high school. She tied for first place and won a brand new bike. She was always good at getting people to sponsor her. It is amazing how people change through the years though. I could never see her doing anything like that now, as an adult. I hope you do well and collect lots of money for the charity!

Thanks! The money is all donated via an online source so it goes direct to the charity everytime somebody donates and this make si teasier for a lot of people as they don't have to go and get the cahs from an ATM to give me and it opens it up for people I otherwise may not be able to go and get the money from! I hope to finish in around 6-61/2 hours so fingers crossed! x
