Do your children use a life vest?

This past Saturday we had a birthday party for my stepson and one of my friends son. Their birthdays are only 1 day apart so we shared the party. My 5 year old daughter is a water baby. Always has been too. I have never used a life vest on her as I have always kept my eye on her and I believe that she will not learn the correct way to swim with a life vest on. She decided she wanted to try on the little boys life vest at the party and of course it was much too small. Have you ever used a life vest on your child?

We don't use life vest for my children. We first give them hand support for some times as they learn to use their hands and feet. Later, they experienced swimming in a low level water to develop courage until they successfully made it. Being by themselves helped to develop their self-trust and confidence on what they are doing.
