I think that best eco-tip is your own environment-friendly behavior. Save water and electricity, don't buy more than you need etc. Consume reasonably. It's all about our own minds.

One that I use is to hang your laundry to dry in the summer (and even late Spring and early Fall in many places). You don't need a back yard to do this. Even people in apartment building can do a little of this. If you can't hang all of it, hang a bit at least. Any amount helps reduce energy consumption.
Another one that I discovered about 10 years ago is not to use a blow dryer to dry your hair. For most people , it is false that this leads to out of control hair. Blow drying actually damages your hair much more in the end, and this leads to using more hair products. It isn't that inconvenient to just let your hair dry on its own. It doesn't take very long.
There are many more ideas, but I'll just give these two.
OK, I can't resist one more. Shower with a friend.

There are many eco-tips there, but I'd like to share to you the things I've learned from RD:
1. If you won't use your computer for 30 minutes, turn off the monitor. Other than that, turn off the computer.
2. In a restaurant, instead of using a tissue, use a dryer. According to Reader's Digest, about 9 trees are cut down a month to supply a single restaurant tissues.
3. When you turn on a light bulb, let it remain on for 20 minutes until you turn it off. switching it on and off adds up to the energy.
4. Instead of using paper bags, use utility bag.
Here are some of my tips:
1. Instead of using a deo spray, use a roll-on.
2. To get rid of mosquitoes, don't use a insect repellent spray instead use a net or the fan.
3. When using a washing machine, turn off the refrigerator
4. If possible, just watch tv shows on the internet as TV is more energy consuming than the computer.
I hope I helped you =D let's help each other combat global warming

I am not a pro in this matter so I am just guessing it out. I think one of the way to save electricity is to think twice before switching on any devices that use electricity. For instance, when you want to switch on the fan, ask once more whether it is an absolute need to switch on and that there are no replacements such as opening more windows/doors or take a cold water bath.
Save by not using is my way of saving electricity.
