Books

Thanks!! I'll have to look for it tomorrow when I go back to the library. I rotate days and nights and right now we're on nights. So we have about 10hrs of free time. We do have access to tv's and internet, but the internet sites have been recently limited. But I would rather just sit by myself and read. So, anyways, I'll check it out. Toni Morrison is most noted for Song of Solomon. Most of her books deal with some type of racial issue during slave times. She is very interesting and her books are kind of off the wall. But reading her material you can picture everything so clearly, just as if you were sitting in front of the tv watching it or even living it. The first book I read of hers was Sula. I was working at night and stopped in a drugstore to get some magazines or puzzle books and just looked at some of the books. It was fairly large print and rather thin, so I figured I might be able to get through. Up til that point I'd never completed a book before, even though I was almost 30yrs old. After reading it, I just chose to continue reading from the same author. But I do have to have something to keep my attention, otherwise I won't make it past page 1.

Ghost ship sounds like something my daughter would be interested in also. I'll have to look for it. We moved this past November and are really close to the beach. Now that school is out, I figure we can go to the beach and just read all day and listen to the ocean.
