Can you differentiate CSI, New York, Miami and Las Vegas?

In order of preference, I like Miami best, Las Vegas 2nd and I don't watch New York. I like Miami best because of Horatio and his very interesting character. He is a strong leader and he really has unbelievable guts. He's the ideal officer of law -- a sharp shooter, a man of good morals and is afraid of no one. Also, the crime stories are more interesting and dirty in Miami.

I also like Las Vegas because their leader, Gil Grissom is very weird, being a scientist and all. He's very cold and has never carried a gun in all the episodes I watched. He is very level-headed and always based his judgement on facts.

I tried watching the first episode of New York and I Just found it too dark and a bit boring. The characters are not as interesting as those of Miami and Las Vegas.

As for the OBB music theme, I like the theme from Las Vegas, "Who are You". It's a very interesting and quite funny song. Miami's theme "Won't Get Fooled Again" is also cool and it rocks!

Ive heard the producers talk about how they wanted to make the three different and I think the way thy did it is working.

The original is in a flashy town, magically appearing out of the desert. The show therefore tries to show glitz and money in a superfluous way: it is there but when you peel back the evidence layers you see so much more. Often the stories revolve around a slight of hand or trickiness that mirrors the magic-shows on the strip. The colors are dark, but warm and welcoming.

Miami is a hot, bright town known for its wealth, sun and unfortunately, drug problems. Miami Vice set the stage for what a show based in Miami should include and CSI: Miami builds on that. The stories have wealth, drugs or party themes more often that the other two shows. The color is bright and almost surreal. Even the male actors are wearng a lot of yellow or pink and the whole show is filtered by white or yellow.

New York was created in the shadow of 9/11 and is located in what has to be the most diverse of the world's giant cities. It's stories involve pride, internationalism and commerce more often that the other shows. Most of the show is filmed with a blue or grey filter, showing a reserved, sad town.

My favorite depends on my mood. I always liked the main character interaction on the original (but that's gone now), Horatio as a softy-tough-guy character on Miami, and the gritty detective work of NY.

yes i know and love them all. i got into csi by watching the original series which is just called csi. when i discovered that there were others, i was pretty excited. i love csi miami then new york then csi. i guess this is because i am still trying to get used to the idea of fishburne replacing grissom. it was hard for me to take, not that i have anything against him he is one of my favorite actors. i just need to embrace him in this context.

miami has all the beautiful people and the heat, i was bummed out though when speed was killed of, not cool then they replaced him with ryan or whatever his name is. i did not like that at all but like mould or a fungus he has grown on me. i do like the love story there, and the special something between horatio and his brother's widow. i am a fan of gary sinise, so i love him in csi, he is that good balance of stern and compassionate father figure. like horatio he has empathy and sympathy and is good with kids. grissom not so much. i did not like his relationship with sara, he was godlike to me and it seemed unseemly.

i love the methodical solving of crimes and analyzing and gadgets, and the fact that when they zoom into a picture it does not pixellate ha ha ha.
