Runescape update!

I am about the same right now. I learned about the update through my kids who play more often than I do.

I joined runescape so that I can understand what my boy was talking about. He would come to me and talk about things on there that I didn't understand. It was like he was talking in another language. Since I have been playing it, I now understand him

I started playing to see what they were involved in and it has given me a way to connect with my older children that I didn't really expect.

Runescape is what is called an online roll playing game. It might be the largest but I don't really have time to research it. Basically you create a character and then you build skills in something which I think would be best described as a medieval type theme world. It is highly addictive. I originally created a female character so I could judge whether this was a game I could honestly allow my daughter to play. My kids had discovered it through friends they met at the local library. I don't play much anymore because I have more important things to do online. It is fun with the network here to go on and play along with my four older children all at the same time. I also successfully infected my older sister and my niece. We only play the free version of the game. The game is easy enough to find through Google.

Oh by the way, to sit you right click your run icon and select 'rest'.

ha ha ha thanks for the info and more importantly thanks for the heads up that this can be . ..somewhat addicting (maybe you didnt say it in those words) but I can sense that is what it would be for me!!!!

always good to learn something and now when I hear anyone speak of this game at least I will know what they are talking about

It is a lot of fun. I've only played non members because I can't really justify wasting lots of time on it and spending money on it. I have a sister who is a member though.

Might have been I would have to ask my kids they were playing runescape classic before it was called that.

I found it helpful. It's getting to be old news now though.

There is a downside to everything. What I liked about it was that it helped the free players. Most of the potions were only available to members.
