Golf Ethics ?

I used to play golf in a country on the other side of the world actually it was Ireland in the old days. One of my first games there was when a friend took me out for a day on a beautiful course, and for once the sun was shinning all day. For me it was a great day, but it was spoiled for my friend by the fact that one of the foursome was cheating in small ways but he didn't seem to take the trouble to hide it. My friend muttered about it during the round, but he didn't say anything aloud.However, on the way home he couldn't talk about anything else. Apparently he couldn't complain to the cheat because he didn't want to disturb harmony of the club. His complaints certainly disturbed my harmony! I couldn't help wondering about life at the club. Did the cheat know that all the other members of the club were cursing him behind his back? What if he got into conversation with another cheat what did they talk about?
