Your best bet would be to keep it up for awhile. When I sit for a few hours at my computer my leg and knee will almost swell double. Or if I am on it alot for long periods of time. I usually drink tea since it causes me to pee more and flush out extra fluids.

My mother is in her 40's, She has type 2 diabetes and has had surgery on her knee 3 times, in the past 5 years. Starting last spring/early summer she has been battling this same issue, she thought it was just normal swelling and they put her on a water pill as well, however it didn't work. She later came to find out that it was actually an infection in the tissue and had to have antibiotics. Is this swelling you are experiencing painful and targeted to a specific area? hers was on her shin. I hope you get this taken care of, as it can lead to many harmful things. Also make them check- double check that it's NOT a blood clot. as that was also a thought in my mother's case for the longest time! Good luck, in the meantime, actually try to increase your fluid intake- water specifically and cranberry juice as the two will FLUSH your system of excess water and keep your leg elevated as much as possible!!!

You could have poor Blood circulation, my anut and I was talking about this yesterday. maybe they should put you on some water pills? I don't know you should see a specialist.

I am sorry about your situation. Have you been to a doctor? You know it is better if you go and find out what is causing this. He will for sure give you prescription to combat the swelling. Take care of yourself. Have a nice day.

I am diabetes and have the same problem, you boil cloves of garlic in mustard oil till they are brown strain and keep in bottle, and massage on the feet after making it warm. After massaging 2 times daily for 3 days, it is will go.
