Anyone Making Good Money With Amazon? |
|
I know Amazon offers a few ways to make money, such as widgets for your site/blog, as well as the aStores, and more...but can you really make good money using them? If so, which is the best? Is it better to provide individual items using widgets on your site/blog, or is it better to display a link to a full list of targeted items in your store? I've tried both, but haven't had very good results.

1. justcraap (717) | 7 months ago | Amazon's Mturk is much easier to earn money from... I signed up to it, did some tasks and was able to get around $24 in a week only to find out that I cannot cash it out if I don't have a US bank account... I was given an option to convert it as a gift card but unfortunately they don't ship to my country.. lol..
Up to now my $24.14 gift card balance has not been moved or anything.. It's like 2 months already... I was trying to sell it for $5 less but nobody seems to be interested..
lol...

2. artguy (913) | 7 months ago | I haven't made any money by placing Amazon widgets on my sites or blogs. I think maybe the best way to make money from Amazon is to have site that is dedicated to a certain type of Amazon product.

| OnlineMoneyMan (76) | 7 months ago | Yeah, I agree, I think it would take a very specific type of site to make any money! I don't think anyone has ever even clicked on one of my widgets and I've only had one visitor to my store in almost a year. I think it's time for something new!

3. thedailyclick (1117) | 7 months ago | Before the rise in popularity of blogging I use to do quite well from featuring Amazon products on a website which I owned. Back then I was probably getting between 1 - 5 sales a day. But since the rise in popularity of blogging and the fact that everyone seems to feature links to Amazon the amount of money I made dropped right off. It got to the point where I stopped promoting Amazon all together as I just wasn't making the money.
But after reading a post from a very successful blogger who gets 50 sales a day I have started getting back into promoting Amazon again, still early days. The thing which this blogger mentioned was that he was not doing anything overly special to try and promote the amazon links, he just made sure that if there was an opportunity to promote a product within a post he would. Looking at his posts where he does link through to Amazon he favours a plain text link than using fancy widgets.

| OnlineMoneyMan (76) | 7 months ago | Yep, just like AdSense with it's popularity, it is much less effective now. The plain text link is the perfect way to get around that since it doesn't 'look like an ad'. And now that I think about it, that is the main way I've made money with the clickbank products I promote. Thanks For The Info!

4. zed_k4 (4726) | 7 months ago | I've always been fascinated with Amazon site. It is just like a big online giant store and I can read so many reviews on different things. Before I purchase things online or not, normally, I would read references from Amazon first.
I've heard of the affiliate Amazon program, but did not make use of it at all. I just use the images for my personal blog, since I love how the images are portrayed and there are different angles too. I think it's quite hard to find a genuine shopper whom would click on a blog and purchase from there. Because I would think most users go to amazon.com straight instead of finding product features in blogs. But with that said, I've read from a blog whom has a good ranking in Google that he is making roughly around 2k from Amazon affiliate program. He must be getting hundreds of hits per day to be able to get that kind of amount.
So as far as money and Amazon comes for me, I just let the talented marketing bloggers handle it. I just enjoy the site for whatever is in store and don't really capitalize on the affiliate program.
