What do men think about women in the military

I was wondering how men in the military regard the women they serve with. I know women are getting into more and more roles in the services, and while they are not directly allowed in combat, often they are in danger zones. I wonder if the men resent having women in what used to be an all male domain, or do they respect them as fellow soldiers.

Hi connierebel, I am a woman, and I was in the military for 12 years. In that time I experienced respect from all but a very few men. I wasn't on the battlefield with them though, and I'm not sure if women should be, unless they are big and strong; some women are built like Hercules, lol. I'll tell you what I hated though, is women who would come into the military and sleep around and get pregnant, and then Uncle Sam pays for their maternity, and time off from their job. It really makes me mad. The military is not for pregnancy, it's for serving our country. Thank you for posting this discussion.

I know women are not actually on the battlefield, but in combat support roles they probably have a lot of contact with male soldiers. I agree about the pregnancy issue; if they want to have kids they should have stayed home and been mothers, not soldiers. They are not patriotic when they take advantage like that.
