Con-as what are your thoughts

Well first of all, conass and con-con are two different modes of charter change. Constitutional Assembly (conass) basically transforms Congress into a body with a specific task to rewrite the Constitution. While on the other hand, a constitutional convention (concon) can only be convened by virtue of a Congressional Resolution approved by two-thirds of members of Congress, and depending on the specific provision on that resolution, Con Con delegates may either be directly elected by the people through a special election, or the delegates may be appointed by the President.

As to the current conass issue, I wouldn't worry that much about it. The Lower House only approved a resolution "calling for" a constituent assembly. "Calling for" (asking, requesting) is different from "convening" (ordering to convene). Conass is still dead. The Lower House resolution is basically useless. So people should just settle down.
