based-on-a-true-story movies |

Do you like movies about historical figures, or about real life stories? Is there something that you think should be made into a movie?
I think it might be cool if there was a film made about the band Sublime, or the band Rancid. There's a movie being made right now called "The Runaways," about the all girl punk band of the same name. Kriste Stewart is playing Joan Jett, and Dakota Fanning is playing Cherie Currie.:o

Like there is a movie called Zodiac that is based on a story that happened in the past and I just find it so interesting to watch. I love realistic kind of science fiction movies too, like The day after tomorrow. Oh yeah another one of my favourite films is The Persuit of Happyness which is based on a true story too. But I am one of those people that loves learning and much prefers to read non-fiction than fiction. I think that has probably something to do with it. I have never actually watched a film about a band though although I like watching documentaries about Kurt Cobain

I think they should make a movie about Gwen Stefani. I admire her a great deal bc she grew up just like many of us, middle class...and in Anaheim, nonetheless. (Anaheim is in North OC. The rich neighborhoods that are usually associated with Orange County in the media...such as Laguna Beach, Newport...are South OC). Her journey with No Doubt, relationships with Tony Kanal and Gavin Rossdale, and her clothing lines would make for an awesome and inspirational film. In my eyes, anyway!
A movie that I'm looking forward that is based on real-life is "Public Enemies"...about bank robber John Dillinger (played by Johnny Depp). I can't wait!

3. thedailyclick (1117) | 7 months ago | I'm not overly keen on movies which are about historical figures from centuries ago, but I do enjoy movies which are either biopics or based on True Stories. I always find those which are based on true stories or are biopics generally end up being very inspirational as well as interesting as you get too learn more about someone you may only know by name.

4. sarahruthbeth22 (10462) | 7 months ago | I love bio pics! I get to see the real story and most of the time I learn something new and I get to feel like I was there when it all happened. The best I have seen was the mini series of John Adams. It was great.I don't have any figure in mind but I'll probable see whomever they focus on next.
