| ive tried  | | | |  Ive been trying to quit smoking for a year now. I have good and bad days with it. I Have tried everything chantix, patches, gum you name it. I have noticed its harder at work not to smoke on breaks than at home. I work in a smoking environment, at a casino. I am not on the floor but most of my coworkers and friends smoke. I tried the non smoking break room and to be honest its just not a fun as hangin out with the smokers. They laugh and joke around where when you go in the non smoking room they want it quiet and dark. Dont know what that means. I Have a plan to try and quit again in the month of August when I am taking 2 wks off for vacations. Hope it works this time.
I have been a smoker since i was 13 yrs old and am now 43 so take it from there

| |  the job environment, most of friend smoking, wow.. it's must be really hard to stop smoking with all that surrounding you. that would be a great chance for you to stop smoking by take away as far as you can from all that.

| |  I actually quit smoking some time last month. I was using chantix but quit taking it cause of the mood swings that I got from it. I was hanging out with friends and recently just started smoking once again. It is a very hard habit to kick. I might try again in a couple weeks or maybe even sooner. Good luck with the kicking of the habit ;)!

| |  You have been smoking for 30 years, give or take. I started at 22, and am now 44. It is difficult to abstain, especially if you are around those influences. drinking alcohol or coffee, others that smoke, boredom, etc. all contribute to your habit. I have tried all the cessation programs: Cold Turkey, patches, chantix. I even have a prescription for wellbutrin, but it doesn't seem to help. If given the right mindset, I am sure something will get you to succeed. Good Luck :)
