nikon d60 vs. canon eos rebel xsi  

I prefer to Nikon D60... Handling it's good and fit on my small hand. The menu camera are easy to understand.

I'd say go with the Nikon! My mom works as a professional photo editor and she edits photos taken with both entry level Nikons (like the D60) and entry level Canons (like the EOS Rebel xsi) by several different photographers. She says that across the board the photos taken with the Nikon cameras look significantly better than the photos taken with the Canon cameras. She says that the Nikon images have brighter colors and better dynamic range. She can edit the photos to look about equal in quality, but she says it takes more work with the Canon photos than it does for the Nikon photos. So if you want to spend less time editing your photos, go with the Nikon!
