Often my wife is off to the market and its very hot outside. She is afraid of sun burns and always uses some kind of sunscreen to protect herself. Its often I can see the umbrella shes holding, its better to have double protection, she says and if it rains!

Hi there and smile.
I am a woman and i cant go out without applying sunscreen to my face and neck. Its is always my self policy to protect my skin to ultra violet rays of the sun. You cant blame your wife doing that especially now that the rate of skin cancer patients are growing. Not only the skin we have to protect but its also our eyes. I am always carrying a shade for my eyes. The eyes can be sensitive to the sun rays and it will be a big problem for our eye sight if we didnt start to take good care of it.
happy mylotting and smile always!

I always wear sunscreen because I burn very easily! I don't carry an umbrella though (unless I know it will rain).
She will benefit from this. Not only does it help prevent skin cancer, but it also helps prematurely aging. I have seem some women that like to get a lot of sun and they look really old for their age..lots of wrinkles.

I guess everyone is entitled to there own opinion.
But, I have heard that using to much sunscreen is just as bad (if not worse) than using none at all. It suffocates the skin. Makes the skin venerable. The skin is being blocked off for vitamins as well. Like women(Some men are even worse, hahaha!) that wear too much make-up everyday. When they get older there skin looks old faster than there age.
Sunscreen is good when you have been in the sun long, and then want some protection so not to get a sun burn. Make-up is a great invention, but not too much.
But, like I said in the beginning, everyone is entitled to there own opinion.

i could not agree more with your wife! I wear sunscreen all the time. Sun protection is very essential, especially these days that even dark-skinned races are prone to skin cancer already. And in fact, wearing sunglasses has been part of my daily attire. I can't leave my house without it. And i have an extra pair in my car just in case i forget.I live in the Philippines and we only have the wet and dry season. and even if we're on the rainy season now i still wear sunglasses, to protect my eyes and it's nearby skin from sun damage and of course i also have a two-fold umbrella that's very handy it's always inside my bag. Our weather here is very unpredictale, it may start a very sunny day but it can give you rain showers in between.
Kudos to your wife, she does know a lot about skin care!

I think your wife is correct. As we know sunlight is now more dangerous in global warming, ozon screen etc, etc. So, i hope with this sun screen, it will eliminated the effect of burning skin and other risk might have.
