Everyday I drove by the gas station, and checking on its prices. The lowest right now is about $2.51 in Atlanta here on average. The highest will be $2.89. I hope that it won't go up any more. I just don't want to see the price back to the $3.00 to $4.00 scales. Pretty scary with those prices. I won't go out that often, or dine out that much if that happen. Would that also affect other businesses too? The government should take control of it.

My husband read in the paper yesterday that the price of gas will not go any higher this summer.

$3... Yeah, I can imagine that happening. The prices here range from about $2.69 to $2.79 right now, having recently gone down a little bit. I remember when it was hovering around the $4.50 mark last year. That was abysmal. People are struggling to afford $2.79 a gallon as it is. I think most people are cutting down on travel, even locally so. I only drive when I need to.

Unfortunately here in Chicago we have already gas price over $3, hard to find locations with lower price. With economy as bad as it is now, hard to keep up with high gas price. I am not sure if government can do anything about...

Goverment will probaly say then will do something about gas prices but in the long run they won't! Gasoline companies like Exxon donate alot of mony to senates, congressmen and other goverment people when they run for election or re-election! If they didn't have the gas companies to pay for compaigns who will? So like me expect to pay $3.00 or more a gallon this summer! It isn't fair and the gas companies will keep gauging the consumers out of their hard earned money!
