I recently posted a discussion talking about how I wanted to make extra money buy starting a blog teaching Portuguese and English (with my disabled Grandmothers help, she speaks Port. and is home all the time). I'm fairly new to blogging. I only read them, so I don't know much about what goes on behind the scenes. Ya know, making it look good, getting visitors, putting up AdSense, etc. I was a pretty good writer a few years ago. Used to write A+ essays in school, and got some "awards" in school for Writing and stuff. So, I know I have what it takes to write. Thing is, I'm a bit rusty. I haven't really written anything similar to articles or essays for a while, and I tend to get writer's block a lot more than before. All of these factors have discouraged me a bit and I haven't put much thought into this blog idea since I posted that last discussion about it. Are there any tips that you blog owners can give me? Any tips or ideas are welcome. Oh, and feel free to add me as a friend and message me, if that's what you prefer. I'd like to have someone sort of "mentor" me a bit and show me the ropes before I go live with my blog. And maybe help me break outta this writers shell I've been stuck in. Can't wait to read you're responses; I'm anxious to start!
