Christmas

Any occassion particularly Christmas without our parents presence is really far different. For they are the main reason why all of the family, relatives and friends are going home and celebrate the holiday.
Indeed life must go on and we must celebrate it to share the love and fun to the rest of the family, relatives and friends only in a much different way already. Their loving memories will be remembered and cherrish for as long as we're living.

My brother and sisters got together the first Christmas after my mom died, but haven't bothered since.

My dad died in November and I have to say, that the first Christmas was very difficult. In fact, I think Mom went to my sister's in Oklahoma City or to my brother's in Lewisville that year. Basically, we really didn't have a Christmas, with it running so on the heels of his death.

But after that, we did, oh, sure it was a little different, but now, 25 years later, it still means as much as ever.

So, you might have to change a few traditions. Where before Dad was "Santa" now my brother is "Santa" and hands out the gifts.

Don't give up on Christmas just because he's gone, just adjust, because people die, its the nature of the world.

Christmas is fun. I look forward to it every year!
