| i shall miss my father on father's day=(  | | | |  i miss my father everyday ever since he died last nov 12, 2008. we celebrated his first bday last may 1, 2009 at the manila memorial and it is still painful to remember all the loving memories of my father. i even cry almost everyday since he died and til now when i think of him, at an instant my tears fall uncontrollably. As i write this, i can still feel the hurt and sadness in my heart. i still cant accept that my father left us, i lost a father and a friend. he has been so close to me and also to my 2 sons. its almost as if i wish to die when he died. how much more the pain of my mom who had been with him for so many years. its was really sad. i love you papa.

| |  My dad passed away in 1997 and I still miss him. I know how you feel, the first fathers day I was really depressed and sad as well as angry. It hurt to walk into a store and see fathers day crads and fathers day cakes. God bless you. It does get alittle less painful and one day you will be able to remember some funny things your dad did or said and you will be able to smile.

Thank you for sharing your loss & pouring your hearts out. I myself lost my dad at early age, I was only 8yrs old. Fathers day was one of the toughest days to get threw for me.I can remember being in a Catholic School and they had a Fathers & Daughter dinner. I can remember crying so hard about that. My mom felt so bad that she asked one of my classmates Mother if I could go with her daughter & her husband to the dinner. Of course she said yes. I was grateful to them for bring me this dinner, its just I felt so out of place and very uncomfortable as well. My mom volunteered in the kitchen as well. For my Mom to do that was a lot on her. It was something that she would not normally do,because she was waitress at that time & for her to take a night off sets her back.
I miss my dad so much .I remember the day Coming home from school with a rock that I painted for him,because my mom told me that he was hurt and in the hospital. I can remember being all excited to go and see him. When I showed my mom the rock she brought me in her bathroom to tell me that My Father was dead. I cried so hard he was my best friend ever. I went everywhere with him. He was a fireman for the city of Hartford,CT I was with him from chasing fire trucks ( so he could go and help out )to visits with my Grandmother.I was daddies lil' girl.
There really hasn't been a day in 37 yrs that I don't think about him. He is with me in ever step I take.I believe he is my spirit guide & has kept me safe no matter where I roamed and will continue too. I love you Dad & I am so sorry for the things u had to watch me go threw.Thank you for the times we did spend together . They will always remain in my heart.
I still go threw the stages of loss of him,its just each time now they get easier to accept.
