how well do you plan your work schedule?

do you make a schedule for everyday work. how well do you plan it? in my life i make plans but i don't keep up. it doesn't happen the way i planned. i tried to do a planned work right from my school days, but ended up doing nothing, so i hardly plan anything. if at all i plan to do some 5 things in a day, i end up doing just two. so how is it in your life, do you have tips for people like me?
