who read the book and has seen the movie?

I have read the book but I did not watch the movie because I anticipated that it won't do any justice to what the author wrote. Yes, I like the book. In fact, for me, Angels and Demons is more exciting than the Da Vinci Code. I have also read the Digital Fortress. But of all the Dan Brown books I read, I guess Angels and Demons is the best, though the Code is the most controversial. What I love about Dan Brown is the way he informs and educates readers about the places and procedures of certain things is not boring. he makes learning and reading exciting. In the end of each book, although some characters are fictitious, one would say, "Ah, that's why."

coming to the topic, I had read the book years ago and I thought I'd forgotten the story by the time the movie released but then Dan Brown's description is so comprehensive that the entire story came alive in my mind once I started watching the movie and found that it was not as exciting as the book.They changed the story to suit the time frame of the movie so it wasn't as exciting.

I prefer all dan brown books...dan movies..!!it was d same for da vinci code also...d book was far better n xciting dan d movie..!!perhaps...bcoz there is more scope of including informations in d books dan in d movies..like...say...all d historical facts..myths i should say...like all d interpretation of da vinci's paintings.If all dese details r shown in d movie...it will lag.soo ofcourse i have read n love all dan brown books..not much d movies.

I find many books outstrip the cinematic versions anyday, as the reader is more involved with his/her imagination, and the writer conveys much more than can be seen on a contrived set. Plots are generally more fleshed out as well since there are not so many time/editing contraints. Does that make sense??? It was the same with Thomas Harris',John Grishams, the Harry Potters etc. I cannot think of a book I have read where the film is better except maybe Acid House.

Hi I definitely liked the book waay much better than the movie--I've heard that the Angels & Demons movie was better than the Da Vinci Code movie--that must be really sad, since I didn't like the Angels & Demons movie--as most movie adaptations are--a big part of the book is sacrificed to make it fit within the time frame, but like the most of you, I felt that the movie lacked the excitement of the book, and you don't feel the thrill of the chase in the movie
