As a whole, humanity is extremely selfish. We're a terrible species to this world and it will be great for everything else on this planet when we eventually die off. However, humans are not born this way. Our actions are a direct result of how we were raised, our culture, and our own personal choices. We let ourselves off the hook by saying we are born selfish.

Yea, humans have ruled the world for millions and millions of years now. Humans' pain will be everything else's joy.

I totally agree with you that humans are selfish creatures. In fact, the most selfish creatures EVER! Not only to animals and forests, but humans are selfish towards each other too! Take me for example, in year 2008, my cousin offered to tutor me as I was going to have a major exam in a few months time. I was happy when he offered to tutor me. However, my happiness was short-lived. Really short-lived. He came for one lesson and the next, and after that, TADAA! He 'disappeared'. By that, I mean he suddenly stopped coming. I tried to contact him on msn but he was 'unavailable'. I got to him initially, asking him why he didn't come. You know what he said? ------"I'm busy. I've to go for diving". I was so confused and furious. Ok, so the thing is that, he is free to go for diving but no time to tutor me? At least he should contact me, don't you agree??? From then on, I decided to steer clear away from him, and his family. Personally, I feel that his family has something to do with his sudden 'disappearance'. I learned a lesson, to not believe in people so easily and since then, my mum taught me to smile in front of him, not to show my anger. I thought that was right. We should not show our hatred and anger to our enemies as this will make us appear more foolish and be easily taken advantage of. That's why, humans are very selfish nowadays. They only care for themselves. Only a small percent of people are willing to think for other people. For the rest of us, we just have to be more careful in choosing friends and see for ourselves who we are mixing with.
This world is a dangerous place. There are full of traps and because of these selfish people, they think for themselves and at any time, they could put us in a disadvantaged situation in order for them to succeed. I hope all mylotters realize this.

Yes definately human being is the most selfish of all the spicies, because only human has brain to think the profit and loss of doing anything. Animals are not that much intellignet. And thats the reason, in today's world all the human being, including you and me as well are just thinking of ourselves and not others. The propotion may be different, but I feel we all are selfish at some point of time. There is a saying that when both mother and baby are sinking, then mother will try to save her baby, but the time also comes when mother tries to come up pushing the baby down, that is not purposly but it is self defence. Appologies if hurted someone, just my views.

Basically, human is not selfish. We are kind people, but satan (syaithon) tempts us to be selfish, lazy, and lavish. If our faith is strong, we will be safe, but if we are weak, we will be selfish, lazy, and lavish. So, be strong!
