How do you get rid of lizards?

Yesterday, I saw 4 lizards in my kitchen. These 4 were visible at the same time and I wonder how many were hidden. I am so scared because they may crawl onto the utensils and even eatables. I don't know what to do about them. Do you have this problem in your house? Do you think it is harmful to have them in kitchen? How do you get rid of lizards?

What kind are they: Little salamander looking guys, snakes or longer legged iguana types?

Oh, no they are just common house lizards. Do you know how to drive them away? Do you think they are harmless?

Where do you live that you are getting LIZARDS in your kitchen??? I would definately call your local pest control! I live in Fort Irwin CA, and lizards here are very common but I have yet to have them in my house, let alone my kitchen! Good luck getting rid of these pests!
