My uncle's 64th birthday is on Monday and I stumped on a gift.
A little background info: He is my godfather and we lost touch for over 20 years and recently reconnected this past year. He is my mom's little brother and she cut off all ties to her family 20 years ago, after the death of my dad and her parents. It has been a wonderful three months, since we have reconnected.
He is retired and can buy whatever he wants.
I am really stumped on what to give him. He is technology challenged. I was thinking of a digital frame but don't have enough time to get it loaded by Sunday, so this is going to be a Christmas gift for him.
Any suggestions?

I would probably tell him that you are taking him out for a day. You can get him in the afternoon, go to a movie and out for dinner. This way your gift is time wiht you.

He is coming over for dinner the day before. I gave him the choice of what he would like for dinner and the girls and I will be baking him a cake.
Thanks for the response!

I like the scrapbook idea but we were apart for so many years! That is why we are going to do the digital frame for Xmas, so he can have all my girls portraits in one place.
Thanks for the response.

Does he like baseball? Take him to a baseball game. Gift certificates are a good idea but are not as personal. What are some of his favorite things? Taking him out to dinner would be nice. Music CD's or videos if he likes music or movies. You could take him out to a movie. If you know his size, a nice shirt, may be a good idea. There are lots of possibilities but I think the personal touch works best. You need to discern his interests and think of gifts accordingly. Good luck and happy birthday.

Thanks for the suggestions, we just gave him shirts for Father's Day. This year is the hardest since we just reconnected after so many years.
Thanks for the response.
