Do you have some songs that repeatedly playing in your mind?

hi mermaidivy, it is very natural that when u listen to a song and you like it then it keeps playing in the mind for a long time. Yes when ever i hear a song on radio and i like it i would keep singing it quite often and i do it many a times unknowingly too. recently i heard an very old song on radio ..the lyrics were muje pyar ker ( love me) and i did keep singing it till others in family got irritated and even then i keep singing it in my heart. so it is quite common.

yes, the infamous Last Song Syndrome--or so some call it. my l.s.s. for one week now is: "they asked me how i knew my true love was true... i, i of course replied, something here inside cannot be denied..." an oldie, yes, but i realized its melody is sweet and its story, sad and touching and un-bitter. ^_^V

for the past week, i'm constantly hearing both david cook's come back to me and miley cyrus' the climb on the music channel. i like the beat of these two songs and after some time, i think i'm beginning to hum and sing along whenever it's being played. i don't mind hearing these songs over and over again since i like them. if it happens that i don't the like the song and i keep on hearing it, i'd guess it would be a pain in my ears.

Hello mermaidivy, I have never experienced something like this. I like to repeat over and over again for song that I like to listen but it never get stuck in my mind the whole time. Maybe you repeat it too many times that you can even remember each and every word of the song without listening to it.

Lol, we are in the same boat!! This happens with me and even now when I am writing this response, that song "Smack that- Akon" is playing in my mind. Its really disturbing, I can't concentrate!! And this happens with me everytime I come across some new tracks and like them. Well, its like in-built and natural sign from the "cerebrum" part of brain, the one which controls our memory!!

Yes! and it always happens to me everytime i was alone and i can't explain what i felt...expecially now that i'm inlove... :)

I get a couple of Songs suh as Still of the Night or Here I Go Again by Whitesnake.. Highway to Hell or Whole Lotta Rosie by AC/DC, and there are various other ones as well...

There are a couple of songs that keep singing in my mind without me asking them to ! Ha ha ! Here they are : 1. Love Me Tender 2. Tennesssee Waltz. Oh, they would keep jumping in my mind even when I am half asleep already !

I have never Last Song Syndrome THAT bad. I do find it annoying when the song that keeps on playing in my head isn't something I like -- you know those catchy songs that you just think are crap but you unwillingly memorize it because the radio just keeps on playing it over and over again? This happens to me all of the time! Sometimes I will wake up in the morning with a song stuck in my head and I will keep hearing it until I go to bed that night. I love music, and used to work backstage for musical theatre, so I don't really mind this unless I can't remember all of the lyrics. Sometimes I will even hear the songs in my dreams! Usually, listening to the song will get it out of my head, so I really get annoyed when I can't find a copy of the song or can't remember the lyrics. If I can remember the lyrics, I can usually figure out the name and listen to it online (yay for projectplaylist.com!)
