2. whizkid08 (550) | 7 months ago | I have been dealing with this acidity problem for years now and even now I suffer form hyperacidity. There's not one reason for it, first of all very spicy food causes problems in liver and causes acidity. Citrus fruits contribute significantly towards increasing acidity, lol! One major cause for it is not having your meals on time and working with an empty stomach, one needs to eat atleast something!! Consuming some pulses, Chickpea flour, increase acidity manifold! I keep taking some tablets and tonics to provide basicity but we need to be cautious while taking them as a "basic" stomach is equally problematic as an "acidic" stomach!!

3. Ricki911 (1473) | 7 months ago | I suffer from ulcerativee colitis which is somewhat similar but affects mostly the instestines. Certain medications and symptoms during a flarreup can cause some horrible sypmtoms some similar to hyper acidity. I find brocolli, cauliflower, cheese, beans, and certain dairy and meat poducts will cause horrible gas. I try to avoid these products all together. Although my disease is similar to yours in many ways its completely different in many ways. I googled you question and did a little research.
Some foods to try to avoid ad thigs that may trigger:
- greasy, oily, salty, and spicy foods - decrease intake of sour foods especially high in acidity - inadequate exercise - going to bed right after a heavy meal - too much mental stress or stress in general - high consumption of alcohol - smoking or drug addiction or abuse - high consumptions of caffeine - too high of an intake on theraputic drugs or over the counter drugs such as tylenol or aspiren - disease of the digestive organs such as stomach, intestines, gallbladder, or pancreas - peptic ulcers - spinal lesions
Try writing down what you eat and narrow it down. Thats what I had to do right afte I got diagnosed with UC. Ty avoiding certain foods such as dairy, meat, and certain veggies.

4. lulu1220 (431) | 7 months ago | I have noticed that drinking soda gives me the worst gas. So I have not drunk them in a while and have noticed a reduction in gas and I also feel better. I have only been drinking water, tea and coffee.
