Helen is the love of my life.  

About a year ago, we talked about the possibility of getting married, and she said that she couldn't handle the idea of marriage right at that time. Later on, I proposed, on her birthday, and still, while she loves me, and thinks I'm a great guy and all, she gets upset at the thought of marriage. For awhile, I wondered if it was me. But it occurred to me, based on something she had confided in me years ago, she has a reason from her past to be afraid of marriage. (I'm not at liberty to say what happened, but it was something that left an emotional scar, and made her fearful of marriage.) I'm praying that God may somehow take that fear away from her. She's the love of my life, and life without her is not an option. I want to give myself fully to her in Holy Matrimony. All I ask is your prayers.
