1970's

i started to take an interest in music around 1978. my sisters had always bought disco records and played them almost non stop but disco was on it's way out when i became interested in music.

we had the explosion of punk in 1976 followed by new wave then ska, i was into punk and loved ska aswell.

one of my favourite bands of the time and probably my all time favourite band was The Clash. i always bought their records and the last single they released in the 70s was London Calling, the title track from their hit album. this has to be my favourite song from the 70s although many others come close.

im never that much into the oldies..but i think there is some oldies like WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN,.may be thats the only song that i love and would listen to any time..mind getting it?

I came into this discussion thinking you want some bollywood oldies. But you seem to want some old english songs. Sorry I can't help you in this, I know only recent ones. But I may like to hear the old ones as well. Can you suggest me some?
